In the beginning...
New Sob Records originally started as a label that would release bands that nodody else would (like my old band, C.T.D.). NEW SOB stands for Nobody Else Would Sign Our Band. The first release was a 7" E.P. by C.T.D. titled "Innermouth" in 1993. The next release was going to be a 6 band compilation of San Diego punk bands. At that time, I was in over my head and putting together the comp and the label became too much of a headache. So, the comp was scrapped, as well as the live C.T.D. release. New Sob Records has only put out releases by bands I've been in...until now!!!. I would like to put out CDs by local San Diego punk and Oi! bands in the near future. So, the compilation CD, "Scene Not Heard" is the first step in this direction. Look for it in March 2005!!! |
